Quba 2.0 will not only display, but also export PDF and even create whole e-invoices.
Why we switch: Previously, Quba and Mustangproject were two different lines of development.
Both could visualize e.g. a XRechnung but corrections to the one was not automatically
available to the other: Quba 1.x is based on a framework (called Electron) which simply
uses a different programming language than Mustang.
The new programming language is Kotlin, which is compatible to Mustang’s Java, so that we can just use it, along with it’s local validator. Corrections of the core functionality will be fed directly into Mustang and become available for all.
Mustang already is not only the foundation of Mustangserver, but also for other, exciting developments out there. A shout out goes e.g. to the independent “easy-erechnung“-project which provides open source local AI based invoice recognition.
As a matter of fact, with Quba 2, we are forking ZUGFeRD-Manager, a previously independent
Mustang based open source project by OpenIndex/Andreas Rudoph, who did an incredible good job
(but was lacking visualization). Thank you very much Andreas!
Our Mustang/Quba ecosystem requires contributions like these. However, code contributions to an open source end user application like Quba are naturally much fewer than to a library like Mustang, where all users are already developers. For those who want to contribute nevertheless, we now offer and encourage

We could very well use another sponsor, however, as we are approaching 100,000
downloads for Quba 1.x (97,047 as of last count, with ~500 downloads per week). The majority
